The University of Warwick has been named the best UK university for students interested in gaming and esports by Uswitch.
Uswitch based the decision on the accessibility and quality of gaming facilities on campus, the range of gaming societies and events, and the overall student experience of gamers. The University saw off competition from University College London and the University of Manchester.
With over 4,000 associated gamers and almost 500 active esports players at the University, Warwick has more gamers than any other UK university. Elenore Li, Esports Centre Coordinator, said: “We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised, and we look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for students.”
Three esports players from Warwick were included in Intel FutureGen’s 2023 cohort, signifying that they were rising stars within the UK esports scene.
