The Adam Bell Scholarship recognises and celebrates students who make a significant contribution to the community of the University and/or who demonstrate qualities such as dedication, compassion to others, and resilience.

This may include students who:

  • Play for University teams;
  • Make a difference to others through small, everyday actions or just by being themselves;
  • Help others who are struggling on their course or who are having difficulty meeting deadlines.

Scholarship Amount

The Adam Bell Scholarship is worth £2,000.

Eligibility

Any student who is currently enrolled on a full-time programme at Edge Hill is eligible to be considered for this award in academic year 2019/20 (excluding permanent employees of the University, repeat year students and Erasmus students).

How do I apply?

To be considered for the Adam Bell Scholarship, you will need to be nominated by an Edge Hill University student or a member of staff.

We encourage you to speak to your peers or your tutor to discuss your individual situation and your desire to be nominated.

To nominate someone for the Adam Bell Scholarship, you need to complete and submit our Adam Bell Scholarship Nomination Form. This is a shared nomination form for both the University Scholarship and Adam Bell Scholarship. You can download the form as a Word document or PDF.

The closing date for nominations is Monday 1 June 2020 at 5pm.

A selection panel will judge all nominations received.
