Our British Council-trained UK University Consultants work with High School Counsellors and UK universities to assist students with the application process. We are also an authorized UCAS center in Canada and can assist students with both undergraduate and postgraduate applications.

We are a UK-owned and UK-managed organization with over 80 offices in over 40 different countries and have been operating globally since 2006 and within Canada since 2017. Our Toronto and Vancouver offices host UK university representatives throughout the year as well as webinars, meet and greets and UK University Fairs.

What Grades Do Students Need and Are IB Qualifications Accepted?

Most UK universities will have set entry requirements for those with International Baccalaureate (IB) qualifications and the majority will also accept Canadian High School qualifications.

Entry requirements vary depending on the program and the university. Visit our course pages for details on specific program entry requirements and speak to StudyIn for the latest information.

What Are the Expected UK Study Costs?

Tuition costs differ depending on the program, the university and the length of the course so it is advised that you visit our course pages for an average estimate of tuition fees or contact an StudyIn Consultant who will be able to advise you and your students on up-to-date figures for each university and program.

International student tuition is typically more expensive than domestic fees annually in Canada or the United States but many accredited programs are shorter in the UK so students may not have to pay as many years of tuition to achieve their qualifying degree. Additionally, many UK universities will have scholarships available and the majority will accept student provincial loans. Visit our Scholarships and Funding page for more information.

What is the Expected Cost of Living for a Student in the UK?

The cost of living for a student in the UK varies significantly depending on the specific location and individual circumstances, as university cities in northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales typically have a lower cost of living than that of universities in London and the surrounding area.

It should be noted that when applying for their Student Visa students may be asked to prove that they have £1,023 per month (£1,334 if in London)* for up to 9 months for living expenses. As such, we would advise students to make sure that they have prepared that amount and more for any UK university that they chose to study at.

Quote

More and more students today are looking to apply internationally. The United Kingdom has become a popular destination and not only the traditional well-known schools. Students need more than a surface level of knowledge to guide and support the complexity of their international applications, VISAs etc.

Study in the UK is a free service to guidance counsellors, students and their families. They have offered one-on-one support, presentations to the school community, to the entire school board and supported school-run Post-Secondary Fairs. They have been a wonderful resource to our counsellors and students.
