Prestigious Law firms may only consider graduates of the best universities in the UK but other universities may have, particularly high graduate employment prospects. Postgraduate students should note that Law School rankings are based on information about undergraduate courses, so may not directly reflect the position of an LLM degree. However, UK Law School subject rankings will give an impression of the university’s reputation, strength of the Law department, and student satisfaction, focused on the teaching and course structure.
The UK Law School rankings below are taken from both the Times Higher Education 2023 Rankings and Guardian University Guide 2023. The Guardian guide takes information from the National Student Survey to rank universities in a number of categories. These include Law student satisfaction with the course overall, satisfaction with teaching, satisfaction with feedback and assessment, staff-student ratio, money spent on each Law student, average entry qualifications achieved by Law students, and the percentage of law graduates who are employed within six months of graduation (graduate employability).
