London South Bank University was founded in 1892 and officially gained full university status in 1992. Practical education and employability are strongly focused at the University, with its central London location providing close links to business and industry. Student accommodation at London South Bank has been ranked fifth nationally and the best in London by the 'Whatuni Student Rankings'. It has four halls of residence which provide almost 1,400 beds, and international students are guaranteed accommodation as long as the application is received by the required deadline.
