Are you passionate about sustainability? This special scholarship programme has been developed for our international postgraduate students who can demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development.

University College Birmingham is committed to embedding and promoting sustainable practices across our campus, our university community and wider society (find out more here). We welcome students from around the world whose academic interests and graduate objectives align with our values.

Our Sustainable Development Award is open for applications from new international students starting on a full-time postgraduate course (e.g. MA/MSc courses), offering a scholarship worth 25% of the first-year tuition fee.

Successful applicants will be required to report to a panel during their studies on how they are continuing to prioritise sustainability in their academic work, extracurricular engagement and post-study plans. You may also be asked to contribute towards sustainability initiatives within the University, such as assisting at events, talks or marketing activities connected to our sustainable objectives.

Value: 25% of tuition fee.
