We offer a range of MBA scholarships which recognise students’ academic, professional and personal experience.

As part of our application process you will be invited to an MBA interview. The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you to ask us anything about our MBA programme. During the interview we will also assess your suitability for a scholarship.

MBA Scholarships 2025/2026

We offer MBA scholarships to candidates who demonstrate the potential to make a transformational impact on the MBA cohort and a global impact through their subsequent career.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of a recommendation to an award panel after interview.  The criteria to be considered for a scholarship are:

(Candidates must demonstrate at least two of these three criteria):

1.    Evidence of very strong academic performance (at least Upper Second Class Degree or equivalent).

2.    Evidence of considerable management experience of at least seven years.

3.    Strong evidence of a mindset, attitude and skill set which will contribute to the MBA cohort.

The MBA Scholarship offers will be as follows:

Gold scholarships

Gold Scholarships of £12,000 will to a small number of outstanding candidates. We are looking for:

  • Evidence of leadership demonstrated throughout your career to date.

  • Evidence of entrepreneurial behaviours and impact.

  • Evidence of a commitment to equality, social responsibility and sustainability.

  • The ability to show the role that the Aston MBA will play in your career development.

Silver scholarships

Silver Scholarships for students of £6,000 will be awarded to candidates who are assessed as excellent. We are looking for:

  • Evidence of commercial success achieved during your career to date.

  • Evidence of applying entrepreneurial thinking.

  • Understanding of the importance of equality, social responsibility and sustainability.

  • A passion for self-development, a clear rationale for wishing to study the Aston MBA and a vision of where the MBA will take you.

In addition, we will be offering a few Aston 2030 scholarships. These are equivalent to Gold Scholarships (£12,000).

MBA applicants would also be eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellors Enterprise Award.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME TERMS & CONDITIONS: 2025/26 ACADEMIC YEAR INTAKE
1. Purpose and Scope

1.1. This document outlines the eligibility and assessment criteria for full-time International fee paying students to receive scholarships from Aston University. This policy is correct at the time of publishing (October 2024) but may be subject to change.

1.2. Applicants who are classed as Home for tuition fee purposes should consult http://www.aston.ac.uk/scholarships/ and navigate to the UK student scholarship pages of the Aston website for details of available scholarships and terms and conditions.

1.3. This policy applies to applicants who are classed as Overseas for tuition fee purposes. The relevant scholarship awards and their application criteria can be found at https://www2.aston.ac.uk/scholarships/international.

1.4. The International Scholarships Scheme is subject to the terms and conditions set out in this document. The University reserves the right to terminate a scholarship where a student is in breach of any of these terms and conditions, or, if any information provided to the University as part of a scholarship application is found to be false or misleading. In such circumstances, the student will be liable for any tuition fees incurred.

1.5. Joint or externally funded scholarships may be subject to different terms and conditions.
