The trustees hold at least two meetings annually to award grants to students who meet the Foundation’s criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Campus Attendance: Applicants must be attending the main Greenwich campus, or the Avery Hill or Medway campus, and either reside or work within the area of benefit or have attended schools or other educational establishments in that area. The area of benefit includes the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the former Borough of Woolwich (postcode E16).

  • Student Status: Applicants must be new or continuing students at the University of Greenwich, fully registered, up to date with tuition fees, and have no holds on their record.

  • Age: Applicants should be no more than 26 years of age.

  • Financial Need: Applicants must explain why they need financial assistance and how they would use the modest grant (typically around £200 – £300) if their application is successful.

Grant Details:

  • Applications are reviewed by the trustees, with priority given to those currently pursuing a course of study.

  • Successful applicants will receive a one-time payment of £200 – £300, transferred directly to their bank accounts via the University of Greenwich portal.

The second round of applications will close on midnight 31st of May 2025.
