Master’s Scholarships for New Students

If you achieve, or have already achieved, a first class honours degree and accept an offer on a Master’s course with us, you could get £3,000 off your course tuition fee with our Master’s Scholarship.
You can also use this scholarship discount alongside the Government Postgraduate Loan scheme.
Eligibility
Courses starting in September 2023
To apply for this Master’s Scholarship you must be classed as a UK fee paying student and:
- accept an offer on a full-time or part-time MA, MSc, MPA, MRes or LLM course by Friday 30 June 2023, to commence September 2023
- achieve, or have already achieved, a first class honours degree
Availability
These Master’s Scholarships are limited. So we can’t guarantee you’ll get it if you’re eligible.
You’ll need to meet the specific entry criteria for the course you applied for. We give priority to students who show the highest academic achievement.
The University’s decision on the allocation of the Scholarship is in accordance with the terms and conditions and is final. There’s no appeals process.
Alternative discounts and scholarships
You can only get one University of Portsmouth discount or scholarship. For example, this Master’s Scholarship, or the alumni discount – not both.
Make sure you read and understand the scholarship terms and conditions before you accept, as an alternative University discount or scholarship may be more suitable for you.
