Most Indian students pursuing law in the UK often wonder if they can practice in India after graduating.

The answer is, yes, you can! The Bar Council of India recognises a law degree from 45 UK universities where you can study law and practice it later in India. Additionally, a Law degree will give you an advantage while practising as the legal system of the colonial past was transported to all the colonies, including India.

Benefits of Studying Law in the UK

  • A law degree from the UK works as an international work passport, allowing you to practice in India and the UK
  • You will get an edge over others, as companies dealing with international clients will be happy to accept you because of your international exposure
  • The practical skill-based approach is followed in the UK, while Law Schools in India are mostly theoretical
  • You will have unlimited course choices in the UK, while the choice is limited in India
