Overview
Kings has four Colleges in the UK in London, Oxford, Brighton and Bournemouth and all offer English language courses and university preparation in safe, friendly and welcoming environments. The teaching is in small classes with substantial amounts of tutor time and learning is intensive and supported by strong pastoral care. The focus is on finding the best study plan and pathway for each student and helping each student achieve the best possible success.
- Undergraduate Preparation
Kings offers A-level and GCSE national qualifications, as well as an extremely rigorous Foundation, the Advanced Level Foundation. Specialist programmes such as the Art and Design Foundation, the International Business Foundation, the Science and Engineering Foundation and the Law Foundation are also available. All students gain entry to a UK university, while many receive multiple offers and progress on to a top 30 ranked university.
- Graduate Preparation
The Kings Graduate Preparation Programme is an intensive study plan organised over one to four terms - depending on the student’s level of English – and is aimed at improving their English to the standard required for Master’s level study.
- English Language
A number of different English language options can either be studied solely, or alongside your preparation programme. They include IELTS preparation, Cambridge English First and Advanced.
Accommodation
Homestays
Kings homestays are all very carefully selected and regularly inspected by experienced Accommodation Officers. All schools have strong, long-term relationships with many local hosts including working families, couples, single people and retired people and all hosts offer a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation. Included in the price:
- Single rooms year-round. Twins are available during the summer period
- Fully furnished room
- Bed linen provided
- Internet usage
- One laundry wash per week
- Breakfast and dinner (pre-paid lunch also available Monday–Friday, supplement applies)
