Overview
Falmouth University is a multi-arts university located on the south-west coastline of England, in Cornwall. Based across two campuses in Falmouth and the nearby town of Penryn, it was initially founded in 1902 before officially becoming a university in 2012. Alongside traditional fine art subjects, it now offers degrees in performance, advertising, architecture and marketing.
Falmouth has seen significant redevelopment and investment in recent years and a new Media Centre covering Photography and Animation being opened in 2007. The Exchange is a library and teaching space opened in partnership with the University of Exeter, which also carries out research on digital economy and sustainable design.
Falmouth students recently ranked the University first in the UK for campus environment, library services and student welfare in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.
