President’s Scholarship for World Leaders

The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is awarded to international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first-time:
Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, PACE or ELP.

Eligibility

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Must be an international student.

• Must be a student entering their first program at UWinnipeg.

• Must have the equivalent of a Canadian 80% grade average, based on Grade 12 academic courses used for admission (excluding ELP). UWinnipeg International Credential Evaluators will complete grade conversions.

• Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.

• Completed an admission application to UWinnipeg by the scholarship deadline.

  • The application for admission is complete only when the admissions office has received all application fees and supporting documentation.

• Must be registered and maintain full-time course load.

Values and Deadlines for 2025-26:

The President’s Scholarship for World Leaders cannot be held in conjunction with the International Special Entrance Scholarship.

Only graduate students starting in Fall or Winter are eligible.
