Overview
Confederation College is an educational institution that is provincially funded and is the only public college in the Northwestern Ontario region. Located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, the College was established in 1967 and now has nine campuses in the province. Each year, the college imparts quality education and training to over 7,000 students, 1,700 of which are international.
The college offers a dynamic learning environment with smaller class sizes and highly-trained instructors who give practical and hands-on training with courses that are designed to provide skills, knowledge and the confidence one needs to succeed in their academic life. There are more than 60 full-time programs in 11 areas of study, after which most of the students are able to get a job, which is evident from the 88% employment rate.
Services
Confederation College has an International Education Centre (IEC) which takes care of students from other countries in their transition to a successful academic life in Canada. The staff works hard to ensure that the stay of the students is a rewarding one and that it is rich with meaningful cultural, academic and social experiences, also providing health coverage for international students, charges for which are included in the tuition fees.
For all the relevant information regarding immigration, study programs and career options that are available after study, students can take advantage of the International Student Resource Hub at the College.

The residences are Spruce and Cedar Houses and the Sibley Hall Residence, both of which come with fully-furnished rooms having WiFi and on-site laundry services. Meal plans are also a part of the on-campus living, payment for which has to be made in full before the start of the academic year. The Spruce and Cedar Houses are the new residential buildings at Confederation College that have apartment-style residences with four bedrooms per unit.
The management at the residences organises special events, performances, sports and excursion opportunities to complement the classroom time.
