Overview
St. Thomas University is a Canadian university located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, dedicated to excellence in liberal arts education. A catholic university, St. Thomas was founded in 1910 and has been imparting quality education with the belief that teaching liberal arts is among the best ways of preparing students to be a professional, leaders and dedicated citizens. The Bachelor of Arts is the heart of the academic community at the university, with more than 30 humanities and social sciences programs.
The small class sizes at the university, averaging 26 students, give ample opportunities to get personalized guidance in matters of professional growth. Classes are mostly discussion and debate-based, wherein they get to know students personally due to the small class sizes. The university offers some unique programs, such as Criminology, Human Rights, Journalism and Communication and Public Policy majors. It is also the home of the Frank McKenna Centre for Communications and Public Policy.

St. Thomas University dedicates $1.8 million to provide financial aid to students yearly and offers more than 40 different scholarships and bursaries to offset tuition costs. There are various clubs and societies at the university that the students can participate in during their academic term to have overall personality development.

Accommodation
St. Thomas University has on-campus residence options for students from Harrington Hall, Vanier Hall and the Holy Cross House. These halls are located on the main campus and offer students easy access to the classes, library, faculty offices, fitness centre, study spaces and other student facilities.
The University also maintains housing away from the main campus on Windsor Street for upper-year students. These houses have individual bedrooms, living areas, shared kitchens and washrooms. The site is patrolled 24/7 by security staff, and each residence has a Residence Advisor to look after the needs of students.
