Overview

Auburn University is a public research university located in Auburn, Alabama. It is the second-largest university in the state of Alabama, with more than 30,000 students and over 1,330 faculty members. Established in 1856, Auburn University offers over 150 undergraduate majors through its 12 colleges and schools.

The graduate school at Auburn offers a large number of degree programs at the master's and doctoral levels, with options for accelerated bachelor's as well. Auburn is considered among the "R1: Doctoral Universities," with a very high range of research activities to solve real-world challenges in the areas of health sciences, cyber and homeland security, and community building.

Services

Auburn University offers various campus services and academic support services to help students get accustomed to the new environment. There are over 500 student organizations ranging from the marching band to the student government, which can help in developing leadership skills among students. Auburn also offers health and wellness services through the Rec & Wellness Center and counselling services.
