First established as the Perth Institute of Business and Technology, Edith Cowan College has been an official pathway provider to Edith Cowan University (ECU) since 1994. In the past two decades, more than 9,000 students have successfully progressed to higher education from Edith Cowan College.
Edith Cowan College offers a range of pre-university programmes for international students, including English language courses, diplomas, and a Foundation programme. The Foundation programme is available in two streams, General and Science, both identical in duration, cost, and credit value. However, the Science stream is tailored specifically for students intending to pursue engineering at ECU. The college also provides language, literacy, and numeracy services to help students prepare for university-level study.
Students can also choose from diploma pathways in the following subject areas:
- Commerce
- Communications and Creative Industries
- Hotel Management
- Computing and IT
- Engineering
- Health Science
- Performing Arts (Music)
For students with existing tertiary qualifications, Edith Cowan College also offers a Post-Graduate Qualifying Programme. This course equips students with the academic skills, subject knowledge, and English language support needed for successful entry into ECU master’s degrees.
