La Trobe College’s diplomas are equivalent to the first year of a university degree, so students can progress directly into the second year of their bachelor’s without any extra time added to their studies. They also have the option of completing the 12-month diploma in just eight months, allowing them to complete their university degree in a shorter period.
The Foundation Studies course at La Trobe College provides students with direct access to the first year of a wide range of bachelor’s degrees at the university. Depending on their interests, students can pursue foundation studies in Business, IT, and Humanities, Engineering and Computer Science, or Health and Life Sciences. The college’s General English and English for Further Studies courses allow students to improve their English language skills. The General English programme focuses on core communication, grammar and vocabulary, and computer skills, while English for Further Studies develops academic language skills like essay writing.
