Overview
The South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) is dedicated to bridging the gap between school and university, offering students an on-campus pathway to the University of South Australia (UniSA). Nearly 6,000 students representing over 70 countries have successfully passed through SAIBT’s doors to pursue tertiary education since it was first established 20 years ago.
The institute’s Early Transition Programs (ETPs) prepare students to meet the academic requirements of a bachelor’s degree at UniSA. Students can choose an ETP that aligns with their study interests – arts, engineering, or health science – and develop the research and language skills necessary to thrive in an academic environment.
The diplomas at SAIBT are designed to prepare students for entry into UniSA with up to a full year of credit, and offers diplomas in arts, business, engineering, health science, and IT. Through this, diploma students with previous credits can enter the second year of their chosen undergraduate degree and complete their higher education with no delays. SAIBT also offers a Graduate Certificate in Business and Management – a one-semester course that students can use to gain access to a master’s programme at Adelaide University.
Specialising in the foundation of degree studies, SAIBT equips students with a well-rounded academic framework by providing them with small class sizes, personalised teaching methods, and extensive student support.
