The Jersey International Business School (JIBS) is a leading independent provider of learning and development opportunities in the Channel Islands. The Business School provides a number of professional qualifications from the ICA, CLT and STEP, along with three degree programmes which are recognised globally by the financial services industry.
The School delivers tuition in Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, London, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Cyprus, the Caribbean and the United States. Jersey International Business School has a truly international feel and the Corporate Partner Programme, which involves the School working closely with over 30 businesses, enables clients to invest in their employees, fund the cost of educational bursaries and benefit from a range of discounted solutions on short courses, certificated awareness programmes and professional qualifications.
Services
Jersey International Business School want students to feel supported during their period of study and the Student Welfare Officer provides independent, non-judgemental and confidential support. This dedicated resource will ensure a smooth transition through Immigration and into University life. Support will be available for any accommodation, medical or any other enquiries you may have. All BSc (Hons) International Financial Services degrees are awarded by the University of Buckingham, with 2-year fast-track and 3-year study options available. The University of Buckingham has the highest rate of graduate employment in the country and was ranked 25th out of 119 institutions in The Guardian’s 2014 league table.
Rankings
The University of Buckingham was ranked 31st out of 114 universities in the country for Business and Management Studies (The Guardian University Guide 2014) and 25th overall (The Guardian University Guide 2014), has the highest rate of graduate employment of any university in the United Kingdom and is top for graduate prospects with 96.6% of graduates in further education or employment six months after leaving (HESA July 2013).
Accommodation
Located within 6 minutes walking distance, accommodation consists of single or double bedrooms with en suite Bathrooms. Balcony, private patio and sea views are available. Bedding and towels are provided and changed regularly. Basic cooking facilities are available in each room; although the option of a cooked breakfast is available, as well as a common room area with TV and Wi-Fi. A laundrette is onsite and rooms are cleaned regularly. Buses to all major destinations are regular and whilst it is safe to own and drive cars, there is no designated parking. All restaurants are in close walking proximity.
