To assist enrolled students who have experienced unforeseen or change of circumstances NCIUL is offering a hardship fund of £1000 per successful application. This fund will be allocated towards tuition fees and will help as a temporary relief of instalment payments (if applicable). Students are liable for the remaining balance and each payment must be made by the deadline dates. Please note that this fund is available to assist with short-term urgent situations only.

Bursaries are discretionary and applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We encourage students to provide as much relevant information as possible in order to create a full picture of individual circumstances.

Selection Criteria:

  • Applicants can be either UK or an international students
  • Applicants must be already enrolled, studying on a programme and have completed at least one academic semester
  • Must be able to provide evidence that adequate provisions were made to cover tuition fees prior to the start of the academic year.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of the change of circumstance or an unfortunate event
  • Normally be up to date with instalment payments

Examples of situations in which we may be able to assist include redundancy, an inability to work or costs associated with the death or sickness of a close relative.

A panel will meet to discuss each application case-by-case. All applicants will be contacted shortly after the panel has met with the outcome of your hardship application.

Applications should be made by completing an application form and submitting it electronically to [email protected], along with any supporting documents.

Please see the terms and conditions for more information or contact [email protected] if you have any questions
