UCAS application support for international students

Almost all students wishing to study for an undergraduate degree in the UK must apply through UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service.

Students can select five universities per application and must also supply a personal statement. Once you have submitted your UCAS application, universities will consider your offer before informing you of their response.

As an official UCAS centre, SI-UK will provide free, independent advice on submitting a high-quality UCAS application. You must fully understand the UCAS application process and choose the right institutions to apply to. SI-UK will:

  • Introduce schools and subjects
  • Help you decide on five UK universities and courses to apply to
  • Create your UCAS application
  • Review and edit your personal statement
  • Add a reference to UCAS and send your application
  • Fully track your application once in the UCAS database

2025 UCAS Deadlines

There are many different UCAS application deadlines depending on what course and level you wish to study.

If you are applying to Oxbridge or for a medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine course, the application deadline is 15th October. For all other undergraduate courses, the deadline is 29th January. If you miss this deadline, do not worry; almost all UK universities accept international applications up to 30th June.

UCAS FAQ

Yes, you can apply to UCAS directly. But if you want to improve your chances of being accepted, apply with SI-UK, an official UCAS centre, and we can apply on your behalf.

You can contact SI-UK, and we can help you submit your UCAS Clearing application.

For 2025 entry, students must pay an application fee of £22 for a single choice or £28.50 for up to five choices.

You can apply to up to five different UK universities via UCAS.

UCAS Extra

If you received no offers from your five UCAS choices or changed your mind about which courses and institutions to apply to, UCAS Extra allows you to add another choice to your application.

UCAS Extra opens each February and lasts until July. If you still do not have an offer after the July deadline, you can enter UCAS Clearing.

UCAS Clearing

UCAS Clearing is for students who are unable to secure an offer from a UK university for three main reasons:

  • They applied after the June 30th deadline
  • Exam results fell short of conditional offer requirements
  • No offers were received, or no offers were accepted

Clearing FAQ

2025 Clearing will begin in the first week of July and end in mid-October.

Yes, Clearing is open to international students.

Clearing is how universities fill up spaces on available courses. You need to contact your university or college to find out if they have vacancies and how to apply.

UK universities will make online course databases available, but you can only apply for one course at a time.
