Overview

The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is a government polytechnic and applied sciences institution in Edmonton, Alberta. The institute offers almost 120 credit programs that lead to applied degrees, degrees, diplomas, and certificates. NAIT has been providing career-based programs in technical training, applied research, and applied education to meet the demands of Alberta’s knowledge-based and technical industries.

Established in 1962, the institution started its journey by welcoming its first class of 29 communication electrical apprentices. Today, it has ties with more than 80 partners from different industries. The employer satisfaction rate of NAIT graduates is 98%.

Services

As of now, there are over 1,700 international students, coming from 91 countries, studying at NAIT. To make the transition easier for international students, NAIT offers online and offline Student Orientation Programs before the start of the academic year.

The institute also has a specific Culture and Transition (C&T) Program that provides tools for students so that they can build confidence, make special connections, and complete their academic journey without any major hurdles. NAIT also takes great care of the health and well-being of its students by providing health insurance, counselling, fitness facilities, and medical and dental coverage, all available on-campus.

Accommodation

Students at NAIT get the opportunity to live at the MacEwan University residence or the University of Alberta campus while pursuing their studies. There are five residences to choose from, all of which have modern housing facilities. It is suggested that the students apply early on, as the seats are limited.
