UCAS Clearing
What is UCAS Clearing?
UCAS Clearing is for students who are unable to secure an offer from a UK university for three main reasons:
- Applied after the deadline
- Exam results fell short of a conditional offer
- No offers were received, or no offers were accepted
Clearing is how UK universities fill in available spaces on courses for September start. Clearing begins early July, but to be eligible, students must have all their exam results ready to use.
How we can help with UCAS Clearing
SI-UK Pakistan can assist students finding available courses at UK universities. We will contact institutions on your behalf and enquire if they would be interested in accepting you as a student. This service is 100% free for international students and we will fully support you throughout the Clearing process. Arrange your free consultation to learn more.
1. Receive free advice about Clearing
Arrange your free consultation to learn more about available courses for September entry at universities throughout the UK. We will go through the Clearing list with you, discussing different subject options and university locations.
2. We will contact universities on your behalf
Once we have established which courses and universities you are interested in, your personal consultant will contact institutions on your behalf to find out if they are interested in accepting you as a student.
3. UCAS Clearing number
Ensure you have your UCAS Clearing number available at all times as it will be needed when we contact a university for you. Your Clearing number is displayed on the ‘welcome’ page and ‘choices’ page in UCAS Track.
4. Accepting an offer through Clearing
After we have contacted a university on your behalf, you maybe informally offered a place at a number of institutions. If you are unfamiliar with the university, visit and learn more about the institution and area before accepting.
5. Adding a Clearing choice to UCAS
If you decide to accept an offer, we can help you enter your Clearing choice through UCAS. You can only enter one Clearing choice at a time, but if the university doesn’t confirm your place you can add another.
