Overview
Mohawk College is located in Ontario and offers over 160 courses, including Business, Communication Arts, Community Services, Health, Preparatory Studies, Technology, Skilled trade, legal and more, to international students who wish to study in Canada.
Mohawk College is a Canadian leader in sustainability and was the first Ontario college to get a STARS Gold Rating for sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. As well as this, the Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation is a unique 'teaching tool', the largest net zero institutional building in Canada, with 96,000 square feet on seven levels with access for students on all.
88.4% of Mohawk College students are employed within six months from graduation and, for real-world experiences, students are encouraged to attend the Campus Student Employment Program (CSEP) which organises career events, job fairs, workshops and virtual meets.
The College provides scholarships for students based on GPA scores and merit. Students can apply for scholarships after completing their MyMohawk Financial Assistance Profile.
Services
Students are offered academic support and workshops, video resources, peer-assisted study sessions, and tutoring services in The Learning Support Centre at Mohawk College. Health insurance cards are mandatory and given out along with information on how to make claims.
Rankings
Mohawk College has been ranked #1 five times in graduate employability rankings in greater Toronto and Hamilton.
Accommodation
Mohawk College provides on-campus accommodation for 340 students at the Fennell Campus in 170 fully furnished, two-bedroom suites equipped with TV and WiFi. Rooms are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis, and students can apply via MyHousingPortal.
Students with special medical conditions can apply for unique accommodation by contacting the Accessible Learning Services office.
International students and students looking for accommodation outside the campus can seek the guidance of the Student Life office for the process. Along with this, Places4Students provides an accessible and off-campus housing service for college students. Homestay programs are also available.
