All eligible requests received before the start of the January Semester (20th January 2025) will be guaranteed consideration by the Chair of the RAU Scholarships Selection Committee.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships and Bursaries are only for applicants who meet all entry criteria (including any visa requirements) and commence their studies in January 2025.

Applicants will not need to have applied for accommodation beforehand, but will need to have been made a conditional or unconditional offer to study before the scholarship or bursary request can be considered.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

  • For students on a postgraduate taught programme starting January 2025 who meet or exceed academic entry requirements.

  • Up to 20% of tuition fees covered by the Vice-Chancellor for one year of study. Suitable candidates will be considered based on their academic qualifications and potential to contribute to global challenges of food security, sustainability, ecology or resource management.

  • Graduates will be eligible to join a dedicated alumni network in 2026, to share innovation and good practice with their peers.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Bursary

  • For international students starting January 2025 seeking support with the cost of living in the UK.

  • £1,752 of shared, catered, on-campus accommodation covered by the Vice-Chancellor for one year, reducing the student contribution to £4,900.
