Overview
Southwestern University is a private liberal arts college that is located in Georgetown, Texas. It was established in 1873 and is the oldest college or university in the state. The university offers 40 bachelor's degrees in the arts, sciences, music, and fine arts, natural sciences, apart from interdisciplinary and pre-professional programs. The flexible curriculum at the college provides students with ways to develop modern ways of thinking and also get real-world experience.
Southwestern University is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Services
The Office of Student Activities serves as an advisor, administrator, and mentor to the students and organizes social activities, leadership opportunities and other services to empower students. They can also choose from over 60 organizations currently active to explore the opportunities outside of their classrooms. There are various health and counselling services also available to students.
