Overview
The University of Kansas is a top-notch public research university that has its main campus in Lawrence, Kansas. Additionally, there are two other branch campuses and several educational and research sites spread throughout the region. It was founded in 1865 and is currently a part of the Association of American Universities.
The university offers more than 400 degree and various certificate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels through its 14 academic schools. The disciplines that are taught at the university include arts and sciences, education, engineering, medicine, music, law, nursing, and social welfare, among others. It is classified among the "R1: Doctoral Universities" with very high research activity enabling students to be a part of the innovations that the university comes up with.
Services
The University of Kansas provides a variety of services to help students feel comfortable while pursuing their higher education.
