Overview
The University of Lynchburg is a private university that is located in Lynchburg, Virginia. It was founded in 1903 as Virginia Christian College and is associated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). At the university, students develop their talents, knowledge and skills. They are prepared for a career, but along with this, they are also trained to advocate for themselves and others.
The university offers various undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its five colleges- Lynchburg College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, Leadership Studies and Counseling College of Health Sciences, College of Business, and the Westover Honors College. The university provides three doctoral degrees and several other certificate programs as well.
Services
The Office of Student Activities organises various events and activities throughout the year that provide opportunities to develop special skills. Students can also take part in sports and fitness clubs and other extracurricular activities. Spiritual Life Center at the university provides services and support for the spiritual needs of all students interested in exploring this aspect of life during their university years.

Accommodation
The university offers on-campus living through six residence halls to all its undergraduate students. The summer school students also get the chance to stay in residence halls, all of which have common laundry facilities, air conditioning and heating, full kitchens, and lounges to relax.
