Overview
Algonquin College has been imparting education since 1967 in Applied Arts and Technology. It is a publicly funded college located in the capital city of Canada, Ottawa, a city with beautiful weather and activities to do all year round.
Algonquin College provides over 300 full and part-time programs in business, arts and design, media, health sciences, sports, hospitality, and many more. There are currently over 4,000 international students enrolled at Algonquin College and 22,000 in total.
Algonquin has an 84% graduate employment rate and personalised learning means leavers graduate with industry-ready skills through fieldwork, work-placements and co-op with dedicated support.
Services
Algonquin College supports international students with pre-arrival services, arrival services, and a lot more. For orientation events, international students can prepare for their first day with the help of the college essentials resource online. Virtual orientation is also provided for international students.
iCent app is a go-to resource for all students of Algonquin, new and existing. The College also helps with the opening of a bank account and getting start-up groceries, apart from a free pick-up from the airport.
Attending English for Academic Purposes (EAP) orientation allows students to make new friends, meet the coordinator, and learn about college and health insurance. The new student international webinars help accustomize students to life in Ottawa.
