Overview
Cegep Heritage College, commonly known as Heritage College, is a public English-language education institution in Gatineau, Quebec.
In the region of entire western Quebec, it is the only English-language college that offers two types of programs- technical and pre-university. The pre-university programs take only two years to complete and cover most of the subject matter that corresponds to the additional year at high school while preparing for a chosen field in university. This duration is also considered the first year of university in other areas of Canada. Students who can complete the pre-university programs usually finish their undergraduate degrees in three years.
The technical programs at the college take up to three years to complete and can be taken up by students who want to pursue a skilled trade. These courses lead to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC). Apart from these programs, Cegep Heritage College also offers various continuing education courses, many of which lead to an Attestation of College Studies (AEC).
