One of the top research universities in Canada, George Brown College (GBC) is situated in downtown Toronto, one of the most significant economic centres in North America and home to many key Canadian enterprises.
Over 30,000 students worldwide can choose from 160 full-time and part-time courses and programmes at this institution. George Brown College was founded in 1967 and is named after George Brown, a Father of Confederation and a 19th-century Scottish-born Canadian politician and newspaper proprietor.
Services
If you are a student with a permanent or temporary disability (mental health, medical, learning, physical, or sensory) the George Brown team will work with you to create an academic accommodation plan to help you succeed in achieving your goals. The Counselling Service will help you learn strategies to reduce your stress, connect with resources that will help you cope, and provide a safe space for you to share what’s on your mind.

George Brown College offers on-campus as well as off-campus accommodation.
The College provides housing for its students close to St. James Campus, the Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences at Waterfront Campus, and Casa Loma Campus, both of which can be reached via public transportation in less than 40 minutes. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, cable TV on a flat screen, a phone with local calls, and other utilities. Students might choose to pay in instalments because there are payment choices available.
For off-campus accommodation, students can choose between single and shared rooms in dormitories.
