Overview

Queen’s University at Kingston is a public research university located in Kingston, Ontario. Queen’s University is organised into eight faculties and schools, through which it caters to more than 23,000 students. Around 24% of the student body is international from more than 125 countries.

Queen’s University is one of Canada’s oldest degree-granting universities and is also among the top medical-doctoral educational institutions. The University and faculty-based research centres of Queen’s provide a collaborative and dynamic setting for scholars and researchers leading the way in a variety of fields such as cancer research, astrophysics, art conservation, biodiversity, engineering, and clean energy technology.

Queen’s is a place where students not just learn, but get to live, work and grow. To promote academic and personal success among students, care is taken to maintain physical and mental wellness. The supportive community at Queen’s has many programs and resources that provide a supportive, inclusive and safe environment for the students.

Services

International students attending Queen’s University get an enriching educational experience. With over 11% undergraduate and 27% graduate student community composed of international students, the University attracts learners from more than 125 countries.

There are a multitude of study options available to students to enhance their career development and personal growth. The University has a robust student exchange program with institutions in over 40 countries to choose from. The Queen’s University International Centre (QUIC) is a support service for all the students to promote an internationally informed and cross-culturally sensitive learning environment.

Accommodation

Queen's has 18 student residences, the largest among them being the Victoria Hall, which was built in 1965 and can house around 900 students. The other major ones are- Adelaide Hall, Chown Hall, Ban Righ Hall, Harkness Hall, Brant House, and John Orr Tower, among others. The University has 21 food outlets throughout the campus along with three major residence dining facilities.
