Overview
Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly known as Ryerson University, is a public research university with a campus in Toronto, Canada. The University is known for its innovative education and career-focused courses.
The Ryerson Institute of Technology was established in 1948 to fulfil the need for skilled tradespeople after World War II. In 1968, Ryerson became the first post-secondary institution in Canada to invite students and faculty members to serve on the board. Currently, over 1500 international students are completing their degrees at the University.
Services
Toronto Metropolitan University's International Student Support is an actively working department facilitating the stay and education of international students at the University campus. Accommodation
Toronto Metropolitan University has four residences. International students are guaranteed accommodation by the University unless they have already been associated with any of the courses at the University. Undergraduate students are eligible for guaranteed accommodation in the first year of their study and can apply for housing in subsequent years.
The residences provided by the University offer safe living communities to the students to enable holistic development while being active members of the student community.
