The International Student Athletic Award has been established to recruit and retain international student-athletes to the University of Regina. The eligible sport areas are basketball, football, hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.

Eligibility

Awarded to undergraduate and graduate University of Regina student-athletes who meet the following criteria:
– Be a member of the University of Regina Cougars/RAMS athletic team who appear on the CIS team eligibility roster in the CIS academic year the award is begin offered;
– Be an international student attending the University on a Study Permit and be subject to international student surcharge;
– Meets the current CIS eligibility and funding requirements for either an entering, continuing or transfer student (for undergraduate and graduate students)
– Be fully-qualified student in good standing as per the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research; and
– Student must be registered full-time (minimum of six credit hours or as defined in the graduate calendar) in the fall and winter semesters and be registered in a minimum of three credit hours in the spring/summer semester.
