MTU Kerry Campus Sports Scholarships

Our scholarships reward excellence and encourage outstanding performance in sports. Applications are open to current and future students for all full-time programmes at MTU Kerry Campus.
Entry Requirements:
Scholarship applicants may receive a reduced points entry into the MTU Kerry campus, but they must achieve at least 85% of the CAO points for the year of entry for their chosen course.
Note: There are two (2) places in total reserved for the following courses:

MT906 B.Sc. (Hons)Physical Education Studies with Business

MT926 B.Sc. (Hons) in General Nursing/MT927 B.Sc. (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing
Higher Certificate (Level 6) Minimum Entry Requirements:
Applicants must achieve a pass in the Leaving Certificate or equivalent examination, obtaining a minimum of 06/H7 in English OR Irish, O6/H7 in Maths or a minimum grade of F2 in Foundation Level Maths (in specified courses only) and 06/H7 in three other subjects.
Degree (Level 7) Minimum Entry Requirements:
Applicants must achieve a pass in the Leaving Certificate or equivalent examination, obtaining a minimum of O6/H7 in English OR Irish, O6/H7 in Maths or a minimum grade of F2 in Foundation Level Maths (in specified courses) and 06/H7 in three other subjects.
Honours Degree (Level 8) Minimum Entry Requirements:
Applicants must achieve a pass in the Leaving Certificate or equivalent, obtaining two H5 and four O6/H7. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of O6/H7 in English OR Irish and Mathematics.
Scholarship Details:
Benefits include reduced entry points, financial subsidies, academic support, performance testing, access to facilities and high-performance education and workshops.
Value: Up to a maximum of €1,000 per year, subject to satisfactory academic performance each year
Duration: For the full course i.e. of 2, 3 or 4 years duration, subject to annual review
Applications across all sports will be considered.
We also offer an Elite Performance Scholarship in recognition of the exceptional commitment and achievement exhibited by some of our students in their pursuit of both their sporting and academic goals
