UK Audiology Courses

Learn from internationally recognised experts by studying audiology in the UK, a rapidly developing area of healthcare

Audiology is a branch of healthcare science which identifies and assesses hearing and balance disorders. An audiologist will evaluate, treat, and manage hearing issues, working with patients of all ages.

The NHS has a skills shortage in the field of audiology, but an audiology degree from a UK university will equip you with the theoretical, logical and practical skills required to become a trained audiologist who can meet the demands of this particular healthcare sector.

Work placements are a key part of any UK healthcare degree, and audiology is no different. Students will have the opportunity to spend time at NHS or private facilities to develop practical, theoretical and interpersonal skills.

Graduate Audiology Careers and Salary

Graduate careers in Audiology include working as clinical audiologists and healthcare scientists in the NHS or private sector. They can also work under the NHS Practitioner Training Programme or in the healthcare charity sector.

Audiology graduates move on to a variety of careers in hospitals, community-based practice, and audiological and neurosciences research. They can take on roles such as hearing aid dispensers, scientific advisors, educators, hearing aid audiologists and equipment developers, manufacturers or suppliers.
