- Available for all full-time undergraduate courses starting in September 2021. New students with advanced standing into Years 2 or 3 can also be considered.
Scholarship Amount
Valued at 50% of the Tuition Fee for Year 1 (split 50/50 as a discount in your Tuition Fee and a discount in your Accommodation Fees)*
* the scholarship is shared equally as a discount in your Tuition Fees and discount in your Accommodation Fees if you book a room in University Managed Halls of Residence, e.g. If you have been awarded a total scholarship of £8,000, £4,000 will go towards your tuition fees and £4,000 towards your accommodation fees.
Note: Students may continue to receive a scholarship of up to £3,000 in Years 2 and 3, subject to achieving a minimum overall grade of 70% or above at the end of Years 1 and 2.
Eligibility
The Vice-Chancellor scholarship is for outstanding international applicants with:
• a strong academic background
and
• notable achievements in extra-curricular activities which could include a range of activities such as voluntary and community work; sporting excellence; excellence in the arts; leaderships roles; fund-raising; representing their region or country in national or international conferences; quality work placements or proven entrepreneurship skills.
Note:
• Candidates who are fully sponsored by a third party will not be entitled to this Scholarship.
• The above scholarship is not open to UK/EU applicants.
• The above scholarship is available for full-time on-campus courses only. (Students who start their studies online due to Covid-19 will remain eligible for the scholarship).
How to apply
Step 1: You MUST have received an offer letter from Bangor University before you can apply.
Step 2: Check your Eligibility for the scholarship and carefully read the conditions listed below.
Step 3: Complete the Vice-Chancellor scholarship provided on the right-side panel.
Step 4: Eligible applications will be forwarded to the concerned academic department to make a decision, and successful candidates will be informed by the end of June 2021.
Step 5: Scholarship winners must have chosen Bangor University as their Firm Choice in UCAS or accepted their offer through our direct application system and will be required to pay a tuition fee deposit of £2,000 within two weeks of the scholarship offer in order to confirm their acceptance of the scholarship.
