Students who have been offered a place on the MA Global Financial Journalism can apply for a scholarship funded by the Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation.

The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation was founded in 1998 by Marjorie Deane (1914-2008), a financial journalist who worked at The Economist.

The Foundation supports students undertaking postgraduate Financial Journalism degrees at City St George’s, University of London and New York University.

There are two full fee scholarships available to City St George’s students who have been offered a place on the MA Global Financial Journalism course (1 x home student, 1 x international student).

Criteria

Applicants must have a confirmed offer on the MA Global Financial Journalism course for the 2025/26 academic year and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Application deadlines:

  • Tuesday 6 May 2025 for international students.
