The University of Strathclyde’s Career Service is dedicated to supporting students through their transition from studies to work. The service provides a quality, comprehensive careers education, information, guidance and job search consultancy for students, appropriate to their needs during their course and after graduation.

Careers Consultants offer up-to-date advice based on specialist sector knowledge. They offer a number of services; information appointments where they can give advice on graduate prospects, CV/application checking ahead of a job application, quick queries which are 15-minute appointments, and practice job interviews which can be useful as many UK employers use different interview techniques and careers advice and guidance.

They have a service dedicated to international students, where they offer advice and can help students look for jobs internationally. All Strathclyde graduates are entitled to use the Careers Service for up to 5 years after graduation, through one-to-one support, and the online Careers Toolkit.

2. Rankings and reputation

Strathclyde won the Times Higher Education University of the Year prize in 2019 – becoming the first Scottish university to receive the UK-wide award twice – and the University was also recognised as the Scottish University of the Year 2020 by the Sunday Times Good University Guide.

The University of Strathclyde has a generous scholarship offering for international students. For undergraduate applicants, scholarships vary per faculty and range between £2,000-5,000 per year of study, whilst for postgraduate applicants, they are between £3,000-10,000.
