Scholarships of £7,000 are available to new international students joining a postgraduate taught masters degree in the Department of Physics in the 2025/26 academic year.

All postgraduate taught masters offer holders in the Department of Physics who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship. No separate scholarship application is necessary. 

Eligibility

  • The scholarships are available for eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time taught masters degree in the Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde’s campus in Glasgow, starting September 2025 only.

  • Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for these scholarships.
     

Terms and conditions

  • The value of the Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship for Physics is £7,000 and will be deducted from your tuition fees.

  • This scholarship is worth £7,000 and will be awarded automatically on receipt of deposit payment until 31st August 2025. No application is necessary.

  • The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points.

  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.

  • Students who do not meet the required criteria will automatically not be considered.

  • The Faculty of Science’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered.
